About

Hello, I'm Enanna Sheena, M.S., CCC-SLP, a first-generation Assyrian-American proudly born in the vibrant city of Chicago. My journey has been deeply shaped by my Assyrian heritage, instilling in me a strong sense of community and a profound commitment to helping marginalized groups, including the LGBTQIA+ community.

Fluent in Assyrian/Neo-Aramaic, I have a passion for preserving and celebrating cultural diversity. My dedication to advocacy extends to my work, as I have long been an advocate for those who have been historically underserved and underrepresented, particularly within the LGBTQIA+ community.

My heart lies at the intersection of my cultural heritage and my love for vocal expression. I've had the privilege of both formal vocal training and being a part of various choirs, including the enriching experience of Common Pulse through Chicago Artists for Change and the Assyrian Women choir through the Assyrian Art Institute.

Through my journey, I've learned that music and language are powerful tools for fostering connection and understanding among diverse communities. I am deeply committed to utilizing these passions to make a positive impact on the world and to empower others to find their voices, both literally and metaphorically.

My mission is to create spaces where voices from all backgrounds are heard, valued, and celebrated. Together, let's harmonize our voices to create a more inclusive and compassionate world, where everyone, including the LGBTQIA+ community, feels seen and supported.

I’m Enanna
